Kurandza is SO grateful to have the support of some incredible individuals, businesses, and organizations from all over the world! Our sponsors are the reason why we can continue impacting the lives of our 200+ students in Mozambique. Below are some of our current sponsors, and we couldn’t be more appreciative of them all!

Here are what some of our #IStandForGirls sponsors are saying!

MELISSA MONROY OF MINT & MERIT

  1. You've been a Kurandza sponsor since 2018 and are now sponsoring the education of 1 girl! YAY! What does being a Kuranda sponsor mean to you? Being a sponsor is such a gift! When I created the More Love Tee fundraiser, my goal was to help someone in need. I had no idea how much I needed this too. Advocating for #IStandForGirls brings me so much joy and gives me hope for the future. I love sharing the importance of education with my daughter and strive to show her the importance of giving back.

  2. Why is girls education important to you and how do you utilize that in your business? I wanted to be a teacher growing up and changed career paths in college. 3 schools and 7 years later, I proudly graduated with my B.A. in Liberal Arts, emphasis in Graphic Design. Getting through school was a long and grueling journey, but I never considered quitting. I love reading, I love learning but most importantly, I love people. We all deserve the opportunity to be loved, to be empowered and to dream. I am honored to donate a portion of proceeds from #MoreLoveTee sales to provide scholarship funding for Kurandza.

  3. There are so many incredible organizations out there! What inspired you to choose to work with Kurandza? After attending the Yellow Conference in 2017, I was inspired to create something meaningful and use my business for good. I didn't know how to narrow down the right cause or non-profit to work with; I just knew I couldn't blindly donate money and assume it would be used for good. I posted the More Love Tee mockup online, asking for advice, and Elisabetta immediately reached out. She told me Kurandza means "to love" in Changana...and that they would love my help raising money for girls in Mozambique. Working with Kurandza has been the biggest blessing and I couldn't have asked for a better organization to collaborate with and root for.

JENNI BROWN OF LYRICAL HOST

  1. You've been a Kurandza sponsor since 2017and are now sponsoring the education of 2 girls! YAY! What does being a Kuranda sponsor mean to you? The time has gone so fast! We decided when we first started Lyrical Host that one of our priorities would be giving back as a company. I had it on my to do list to start researching different options at some point in the future, but when I accidentally came across Kurandza, I knew we had to get involved right away!

For us, being a Kurandza sponsor means we have a powerful opportunity to give hope to someone at a very impactful age. We love supporting Kurandza and look forward to doing it for many years to come!

  2. Why is girls education important to you and how do you utilize that in your business?  This is something that’s incredibly important to both us and our customers because education is so fundamental to everything else in life. Our customer base is largely women, many of whom have children of their own and/or travel the world and appreciate the scale of help and support needed in global communities. Because of this, our support for non-profits has more of a community feel. We love sharing updates from Kurandza’s girls and the lovely handwritten letters from the Kurandza team in our Facebook group and email newsletter.

  3. There are so many incredible organizations out there! What inspired you to choose to work with Kurandza? It’s so important to us that we’re sponsoring an organization that truly cares, really does make a difference, and puts everything it can into helping people. There are a lot of different sponsorship opportunities out there, but I’m still to find any that match the heart and passion of Kurandza. I love the grassroots aspect to it, and the close relationships between the Kurandza team and the girls.

Being a Kurandza sponsor to us means that we are helping amazing and talented girls grow to become the women they are meant to be! We stand for girls because we believe everyone should have the opportunity to get an education, seek a bright future, set goals, and to most importantly DREAM BIG!

  2. Why is girls education important to you and how do you utilize that in your business? Besides promoting friendship in our jewelry, giving back has always been a strong belief at WAA. We love to give back to organizations that we believe are making a difference in the world. And we are very excited to do that with Kurandza by sponsoring a girl’s education and being a part of the #IStandForGirls campaign with other amazing girl bosses!

  3. There are so many incredible organizations out there! What inspired you to choose to work with Kurandza? Alex has been working alongside Elisabetta for almost 2 years now! MICHELE ARELLANO OF THE WANDERLUST BAZAAR

  1. You've been a Kurandza sponsor since 2018 and are now sponsoring the education of 1 girl! YAY! What does being a Kuranda sponsor mean to you? Being a Kurandza sponsor is a sign of hope in my eyes. It makes me hopeful to know these women and young girls are being given the opportunity and proper tools to have a beautiful future and life.

  2. Why is girls education important to you and how do you utilize that in your business?  I own a company called The Wanderlust Bazaar that was inspired by traveling. I hold traveling close to my heart because I see it as a form of education. It’s taught me how to interact with different types of peoples and how to adapt to different cultures. It’s taught me to appreciate everyday of my life. The aspect of learning through life experiences is something I am truly passionate about, and giving these girls the education they need to make a difference in their lives, and possibly those around them makes my heart overwhelmed with happiness.

  3. There are so many incredible organizations out there! What inspired you to choose to work with Kurandza? What drew me to Kurandza was the involvement and intimacy this organization provides and shows. I have personally been able to get involved and have one on one conversations with Kurandza’s founder and team, and that means the world to me. I absolutely love that! It makes me feel like I, Michele, can have a voice and direct impact in the organization and on these women and girls it supports.

Thank you to all of our sponsors for supporting our girls education program in Mozambique!
