First Week Of School For Our Sponsored Girls!
Last month (February), the girls at our partner schools in Mozambique had their first day of school. The first day of school for the girls in our program is always a fun day! They get so excited for school now that they are equipped with uniforms, backpacks, and all the school supplies they need! We want to share a quick recap of their first week of school so you can join in with the excitement and get to know the girls a little bit better!
This year, we have 205 students across our five partner schools - 154 girls in five different primary schools, 20 children (all of whom are orphans and unable to pay for tuition) at our private partner pre-school, and 31 young girls at our two partner secondary schools. This is the third year of our education program and we are so grateful to be able to support so many girls!
Distribution day:
During the first day of school, the girls receive their uniforms, backpacks, and school supplies, which is usually the most exciting part of the day! Then they get to meet the teachers and get to know their school! Take a look at the photos below to see what distribution day looks like:

PRE-SCHOOLERS
In the first photo, you see pre-schooler Angela reciting the alphabet in front of the class! The second photo, is one of our educators putting on the blue apron uniforms on our pre-schoolers. The last two photos are of our educator, Odilia, dancing with our pre-schoolers and sitting in the middle of the circle of kids while she is teaching!
PRIMARY SCHOOLERS
