Hello Kurandza family and friends! As many of you may know we launched our Giveback Partnership Program Campaign for the month of March. We’re looking for entrepreneurs and women-led businesses who have a passion for girls education and women empowerment, and who want to add a giving component to their business model. All chosen partners will donate a portion of business proceeds to Kurandza to support girls’ education and will provide their customers or clients with a way to shop or work with them while giving back. We wanted to create a blog post to break down what it means to be a Giveback Partner:
What does it mean to be a Kurandza giveback partner?
Giveback Partners are individuals or businesses who join Kurandza’s cause through incorporating a giveback component to their business. These partners pledge a portion of business profit or revenue to support our work in Mozambique every month.
It may seem like nothing more than monthly donations, or a simple banner image on your website, but to us, signing up as a Giveback Partner is so much more. You are the “voice” of our mission. Not only do we value and need your donations to run our empowerment programs on the ground in Mozambique, the exposure offered by our Giveback Partners is just as valuable and appreciated! Giveback Partners from all over the world help us spread the word, either through organic word of mouth sharing, social media shoutouts, images on your website, fliers at your events, or whatever else your imagination can dream up. In return, we LOVE to support our Giveback Partners through links on our website, social media features, blog post spotlights, and more!
Is being a giveback partner the same as being a sponsor?
No! A sponsor is an individual or business that directly sponsors the education and school supplies of one girl or more, for at least one educational year through our educational program and #IStandForGirls campaign. A Giveback Partner is an individual or business that joins the Giveback Partnership Program, a specific ongoing collaboration with Kurandza which is promoted by both the business and the organization to bring more awareness to the mission and to the philanthropic investment customers are making. Giveback Partners pledge monthly unrestricted donations to Kurandza that help fund our greatest need at the time.
What are the benefits of becoming a giveback partner?
Giveback Partners from all over the world help us spread the word, either through organic word of mouth sharing, social media shoutouts, images on your website, fliers at your events, or whatever else your imagination can dream up. You are supporting a cause that stands for women empowerment, girls education, and gender equality. The biggest benefit is that you are using your business for good and making a tangible impact in the world. Another side benefit is that more and more people these days are looking to work with businesses who have a social aspect to what they do. When your customers and clients find out that they are making a difference in the world by working with you, they will have even more of a reason to!

As a giveback partner, what tangible impact does my monthly donation make?
Kurandza prides itself on being able to make a little bit of money go a long way. The short answer is that your donation directly goes to fund our holistic education programs, funding girls’ education, and towards our nutrition programs and other initiatives.
Are my donations tax deductible?
Yes! Kurandza is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt non-profit organization, which means that when you donate to Kurandza, your donation is 100% tax deductible.
