March is officially known as Women’s History Month and we’ve loved seeing women honored, important stories told, and call-outs happening all month long. At Kurandza, we believe that women should be celebrated, lifted up, and given equal opportunities all year long.

We want to give a BIG thank you to everyone who participated and applied to our Giveback Partnership Program campaign in March. It was a huge success, and we are SO excited to increase the impact in our programs in Mozambique by bringing on new partners. One of the most exciting aspects of partnering with Kurandza is being able to make a tangible impact in the lives of women and girls in eastern Africa! Our partners have an understanding of how each dollar impacts our programs in Mozambique, and how important their monthly support is. Hello Kurandza family and friends! As many of you may know we launched our Giveback Partnership Program Campaign for the month of March. We’re looking for entrepreneurs and women-led businesses who have a passion for girls education and women empowerment, and who want to add a giving component to their business model. All chosen partners will donate a portion of business proceeds to Kurandza to support girls’ education and will provide their customers or clients with a way to shop or work with them while giving back.

Alyssa Coleman has supported Kurandza since the beginning (she was our first ever Giveback Partner!) and we’ve only grown to love her more during our time working together. An entrepreneurial lady-boss herself, Alyssa has built a brand around empowering women entrepreneurs to grow their business through productivity strategies. She’s helped countless women and we are honored to have her on our team of partners!

Our monthly spotlights of our Giveback Partners is one of our favorite blog posts of the month because it gives a "face to the name" of the people who make Kurandza what it is. Giveback Partners are monthly supporters of Kurandza, either individually, as an organization, or through a retail partnership or event. 

Although Kurandza's work is in Mozambique, people from all over the world are involved in our mission to make education accessible to all girls. One of the most exciting aspects of our social enterprise is cultivating a community who values our mission and, in turn, getting to support them and their work as well.
